"Oorah Mac" Fundraiser

Mac is a 4 year old Siberian Husky from Alaska, currently residing in the Queen City of Charlotte, North Carolina, and ready to train with NSDTA to become a certified Service Dog for his Marine Veteran dad (Chris)!
NSDTA considers training with our veteran service members an honor…and we seek to procure all available financial resources possible to cover training costs, testing fees and other expenses like harnessing and grooming supplies.
The VA does cover training costs for service dogs that are used for mobility and blindness, but does not cover the costs for training and additional expenses for Psychiatric Service Dogs.
The mission of NSDTA is to fill the gap! We provide expert and unparalleled training for service dogs and persons with disabilities without the exorbitant costs. The average cost of a service dog for medical alert and leaders for the blind is approximately $35,000.00, along with a lengthy waiting list of about two years.
We aim to provide a better quality of life, support independent living and access to more opportunities for disabled individuals, and promote humane education. We train multiple forms of medical alert dogs, guide dogs, and psychiatric service dogs for a fraction of the cost.
We ask that you help continue our mission and support Chris and Mac as they work together over the course of their 26-week training program so they can "oorah" howl all the way back to Alaska together!
Our goal is to raise $2,750.00 to cover the total cost of Mac’s training program with NSDTA and we cannot thank you all enough for your support!
